n response to local demand we started a 'Painting for Pleasure' class in October 1990. The class runs once weekly every Thursday from 7.30pm - 9.30pm and is divided into two 10 week sessions i.e. October - December and January - March. The club is open to all who wish to find a new interest or pastime or who want to develop a creative talent for which they have found time to enjoy. This opportunity allows people from all sections of the community to meet, socialise and share a common interest in a very relaxed setting. In addition to the weekly sessions we invite various professional artists to demonstrate their skills and painting styles to the group. We hold exhibitions to showcase our members work and an annual trip is organised to an area of scenic beauty where members can gain inspiration and paint on location if desired.
