Sylvia Burnside is growing in reputation as a performer and as one of Ireland's leading singing teachers (accredited by The Royals Schools of Music). She has dedicated her adult life and studies to the pursuit of what she calls 'core communication in song' and has devoted herself to a deepening understanding of what it is to engage fully with songs in performance. This fundamental method is the foundation of both her teaching and performance practice
A prolific soloist with New Irish Arts, Sylvia has performed with BBC television, RTE television, BBC & RTE radio and has taken stage as guest soloist in venues including Belfast Waterfront Hall, Ulster Hall and this year Belfast Odyssey. Professionally Qualified Singing teacher with 16 years' experience, working closely with Royal Schools Network of qualifications, undergraduate and professional development studies.

2005 Awarded the 'Fellowship of the Royal Schools of Music,' (the highest accolade awarded by The Associated Board of The Royal Schools of Music). (FRSM)
